Making the World Greener, One Garden at a Time

Together Green Gardening Services is run by Glen Kirby, a wildlife-friendly gardener based in Hayley Green, on the south side of Halesowen, who provides professional gardening services throughout Halesowen and the surrounding areas, including Romsley, Hunnington, Clent, Hagley and Belbroughton. Glen does the vast majority of the work himself, using battery-powered tools and chemical-free methods, with proper invoices.

About me

Hello, I'm Glen

I'm Glen, the owner of Together Green Gardening Services. Based in Hayley Green, on the south side of Halesowen, I provide professional gardening services throughout Halesowen and the surrounding areas, including Romsley, Hunnington, Clent, Hagley and Belbroughton.

Since I was a young lad I've had a genuine love for nature, wildlife and being outdoors. It started with simple things, climbing apple trees and watching birds flit through hedges on trips to the fields of Herefordshire with my late grandad.

That passion never went away, and I appreciated it even more as I got older and had two children with my wife. From a young age I looked for chances to get them outdoors, and for the small things in nature that are so easy to overlook in today's fast-paced world.

Over time, that passion grew into the idea of starting my own business. I already had practical skills, built up through many years of caring for my own garden, helping friends and family with theirs, and working on a university campus maintaining large outdoor spaces.

Those years gave me a proper understanding of garden care and attention to detail, and showed me how much an outdoor space can thrive when it's properly looked after.

Alongside that, I realised I had the knowledge, enthusiasm and passion to help more people enjoy their gardens, feel the mental health benefits of being outdoors, and see how the smallest actions can make a real difference to local wildlife.

That's what Together Green Gardening is built on: gardens that are properly looked after, in a way that gives something back to the wildlife that shares them.

Together Green Gardening is me. I carry out the vast majority of the work myself, and when needed, I call on a trusted colleague to lend a hand on larger jobs, such as major clearances or work that requires two pairs of hands.

Why we do it

Our mission

At Together Green Gardening Services, I provide reliable, professional garden care tailored to each customer and each garden. I take the time to understand what you need, and offer sensible solutions that fit your garden and your schedule.

My mission is to help you get the most from your garden, keeping it healthy and looking good, while caring for it in a way that supports wildlife and the environment. That's the idea behind Making the World Greener, One Garden at a Time: small, consistent actions that add up to a genuine difference.

  • Wildlife-friendly

Nesting birds, hedgehogs and pollinators are part of how I work, with a wildlife check before work begins and corners of a garden left a little wild.

  • Chemical-free

No harsh chemical weedkillers, moss killers or synthetic feeds. Where a lawn needs feeding, I favour natural products such as seaweed.

  • Battery-powered tools

My own mowers, trimmers and edgers are battery-powered, so they're quiet, low-emission and safe to use on a residential street.

  • Compost and green waste done properly

Where possible I use your council green bin or compost heap first. As a registered waste carrier, I can take cuttings and clearance waste away to be composted locally.

  • A local round, kept tight

I keep the round to Halesowen, Romsley, Hunnington, Clent, Hagley, Belbroughton and surrounding areas, so visits stay reliable rather than spread too thin.
